The new Ambassador of France visits the ICC

The President and the members of the Consular Office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina Faso (CCI-BF) were honored by the visit, this Tuesday, September 24, 2019, of His Excellency Luc Hallade, Ambassador of the Republic of France in Burkina Faso.

This hearing comes just weeks after the presentation of the credentials of the new Ambassador to SEM. Roch Marc Christian KABORE, President of Faso.

Beyond the diplomatic symbolism, the visit of SEM. Luc HALLADE was an opportunity for the authorities of the Consular Institution to take stock of economic and trade cooperation between Burkina Faso and France, and to discuss some topics of common interest. Specifically, it was discussed the participation of French businessmen in the 7th edition of the AFRICALLIA forum scheduled to be held in Ouagadougou in May 2020, the start of a project to facilitate access to economic operators to finance and the increase of guarantees granted by the French insurance company for foreign trade (COFACE).

Satisfied with the welcome he received, the French diplomat justified his visit with a firm desire to strengthen economic relations between the two countries and especially to develop initiatives for a win-win partnership between French and Burkinabe economic operators. To do so, he promised to facilitate access to a circulation visa for economic operators.

The meeting ended with a gift to the Ambassador who, in turn, left a warm message in the CCI-BF's guestbook.
