By communiqués dated 6 and 9 September 2019 respectively, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Handicrafts brought to the attention of the public on the one hand, the decision to ban the import , the production and marketing of liqueurs called "adulterated beverages" and secondly, the decision to suspend until further order the issuance of Special Import Authorizations (ASI) of edible oil and sugar , following the finding of a serious dysfunction of the market of the products concerned.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina Faso would like to congratulate the Government and all stakeholders for these courageous and healthy decisions aimed at cleaning up our economy and protecting the health of the people.
